Regional Facilities Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as the main customer liaison within the designated territory.

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of service calls and work orders, from dispatching to proposal creation, execution, invoicing, and finalization.

• Supervise daily service operations, including routine, priority, and emergency requests in a 24/7 setting.

• Keep track of work order statuses, documentation, and performance metrics in the CMMS and operational tracking systems.

• Create, assess, analyze, and submit repair proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.

• Review subcontractor proposals and suggest appropriate repair solutions.

• Build, recruit, manage, and evaluate a skilled subcontractor network.

• Track work order progress, vendor performance, schedules, and customer satisfaction; address issues and communicate updates.

• Examine completed work packages, documentation, and invoices for quality, accuracy, completeness, and prompt processing.

• Hold customer meetings, site visits, vendor assessments, and quality inspections.

• Evaluate safety plans, hazard analyses, LOTO procedures, and related safety documentation.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, customer specifications, safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant codes.

• Travel throughout the assigned territory for customer meetings, field operations, subcontractor supervision, and emergency response.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical field experience, on-the-job facilities experience, trade training, apprenticeship, or proven hands-on knowledge of facilities maintenance or similar technical services; alternatively, a related degree may substitute for part of the field experience when paired with relevant technical or operational knowledge.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities services, operations, maintenance, construction, or technical services.

• Experience in managing service call operations in a dynamic, customer-centric environment that supports routine, priority, and emergency work requests.

• Experience overseeing operations across multiple facilities or geographically dispersed service areas.

• Proficiency in commercial building systems and facility service commodities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, external services, custodial, fire and life safety systems, BAS, and general building repairs.

• Hands-on trade or technical operations experience sufficient to assess repair methods, scopes of work, subcontractor proposals, estimates, and technical matters.

• Proven experience in developing, reviewing, and negotiating proposals, cost estimates, and scopes of work.

• Experience managing subcontractors and field service providers across various technical disciplines.

• Familiarity with CMMS platforms (Maximo preferred) and operational tracking systems.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting customer service, operational, financial, and performance targets.

• Must be a resident within the assigned territory.

• Preferred certifications, though not mandatory: relevant trade license; OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Certification or equivalent safety training.
