This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Offer technical and enrollment eligibility assistance for existing and prospective enrollees of Marketplace, Colorado Connect, and Medicaid/CHP+.
• Maintain a strong understanding of eligibility, enrollment, and program specifications while delivering Assister services.
• Aid customers with account management and enrollment assistance, promote health insurance literacy, and provide education on federal and state updates.
• Deliver fair, accurate, and unbiased information regarding health coverage options and financial assistance programs.
• Assist individuals and families in applying for health coverage and insurance affordability programs, clarifying distinctions between plans.
• Communicate verification requirements, provide health insurance literacy information, send renewal reminders, and conduct follow-ups.
• Organize and participate in community events and workshops.
• Execute community outreach and educational initiatives.
• Manage and distribute resource materials to targeted populations and partners.
• Conduct business-to-business education regarding health coverage options and updates from federal or state authorities.
• Establish and maintain referral networks.
• Develop focused, localized marketing and outreach strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the Assistance Network Team to reduce gaps in education and enrollment support in Summit County.
• Must be a Colorado resident; preference given to those local to Summit County.
• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in community coordination, communications, social services, medical billing, or public service roles, ideally in healthcare or health insurance.
• Familiarity with the mission and customer base of Connect for Health Colorado is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of CBMS, Connect for Health Colorado systems, and individual market eligibility regulations.
• Experience and comfort in public speaking and presenting to large audiences.
• Ability to work independently towards results and create and implement programs and systems from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare or health insurance sector.
• Excellent project management abilities and capacity to oversee multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
• Capacity to take responsibility and uphold confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
