Refractory Technical Specialist, Ironmaking – Reheat

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage trials and evaluations of refractory products at customer locations.

• Collaborate with customers and sales teams to enhance refractory performance and address issues.

• Provide technical training sessions for both sales personnel and customers.

• Work alongside R&D on product innovation and ongoing improvement projects.

• Suggest refractory materials and lining designs tailored to customer needs.

• Assist Operations with product transitions and sustainability objectives.

• Engage in extensive travel across Canada to support customers and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in refractories, ironmaking, or relevant applications in the steel industry.

• Strong knowledge of refractory technologies and steel production processes.

• Capability to work safely in heavy industrial settings and adhere to OSHA standards.

• Mechanical skills and experience in field support.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.

• Experience with SAP is advantageous.
