Referral Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the initial point of contact and main liaison for referrals made by healthcare professionals.

• Establish and nurture relationships with physicians and representatives from physician offices.

• Develop a streamlined process for patients throughout financial, scheduling, and treatment stages.

• Collaborate with Empowerment, Business Services, Finance, Clinical/Hospital Operations, Clinical Staff, and Physician Relations.

• Oversee the referral process.

• Take ownership of engagement and referral growth for both internal and contracted medical personnel.

• Manage a network of physician contacts beyond designated regions activated by Physician Relations field personnel.

• Cultivate and sustain referral relationships.

• Enhance physician satisfaction and drive referral growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare environment; clinic experience is preferred.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong skills in process development.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• In-depth knowledge of and experience with HIPAA regulations.
