This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary contact between existing clients and the Bicycle Health program.
• Offer peer-based assistance through individual coaching sessions and support groups.
• Record client visits in the electronic health record in real-time, ensuring a standard suitable for medical professionals.
• Utilize patient management tools to monitor client progress, sustain engagement, and document treatment and support involvement.
• Involve clients in discussions and education regarding substance use, treatment options, and recovery pathways.
• Provide details about community resources, online support, and other relevant assistance.
• Recognize barriers to participation and relay this information to the appropriate clinical team members.
• Consistently apply the Motivational Interviewing framework in interactions with clients.
• Maintain close communication with medical providers and support staff associated with assigned clients' care.
• Attend and actively participate in designated meetings.
• Contribute to the metrics for program quality improvement.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a peer recovery coach, peer support worker, or addiction counselor.
• At least 1 year of experience leading virtual recovery groups.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical practice or behavioral health setting, including documentation in EHR and direct communication with medical providers.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
• Knowledge of confidentiality protocols for managing client information.
• Capacity to practice self-care while aiding individuals with complex needs.
• Ability to succeed in a multidisciplinary team aligned with company-wide objectives.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
• Personal experience with substance use disorder treatment and recovery, either through one's own recovery journey or through close personal/professional relationships with individuals receiving SUD care.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and physically reside within the US.
• Bicycle Health does not provide visa sponsorship at present or in the future.
