This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the cash aspect of the revenue cycle by ensuring a smooth flow of claims without delays.
• Manage outstanding accounts receivable across 30/60/90+ day aging categories and focus on high-value claims.
• Address denials, rejections, holds, and appeals to optimize cash flow.
• Detect patterns and identify opportunities in Candid to enhance the touchless claim rate.
• Collaborate directly with practices to collect information, resolve denial challenges, and avert recurring denial trends.
• Handle billing inquiries related to claims that have been escalated from Customer Success, Implementation, and Account Managers.
• Investigate claims and provide practices with precise and clear billing responses.
• Navigate contemporary E&M, POS, and telehealth billing regulations across various states and payers.
• Develop expertise in interventional psychiatry billing, including Spravato, TMS, ketamine, and similar treatments.
• Audit and rectify accounts receivable backlog; identify potential improvements in templates, SOPs, and workflows.
• Send clear, concise, and professional communications to practices.
• Proactively raise blockers through internal communication channels.
• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in AR resolution—covering denials, rejections, appeals, aging categories, and prioritization for maximizing cash.
• Experience in behavioral health billing, encompassing medication management visits, psychotherapy add-on codes, and telehealth delivery for mental health.
• Familiarity with modern E&M and telehealth billing, standard office E&M, POS regulations, and state- and payer-specific telehealth modifiers.
• Capability to interpret payer reimbursement policies and take appropriate action.
• Proficient with major payer portals: Availity, Navinet, PayerCompass, and other payer-specific platforms.
• Daily utilization of Claude, Gemini, or similar AI tools, with the ability to articulate their benefits.
• Comfortable with adapting to changing priorities and workloads in a startup setting.
• Open and direct communication style; able to quickly raise blockers, ask precise questions, and provide and receive direct feedback.
• Must be US-based and eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
