Quantum Computing Patent Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepare and file U.S. and international patent applications.

• Collaborate with inventors and engineers to grasp intricate technologies and formulate robust patent claims.

• Draft responses to Office Actions and oversee applications throughout the prosecution process.

• Support clients in developing patent strategies and managing their portfolios.

• Cultivate and enhance client relationships.

• Work on patents related to quantum computing and other emerging technologies.

• Engage directly with inventors, founders, engineers, and technology firms.

• Expand an existing client base within a well-established technology patent practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

• Proven track record in drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to quantum computing.

• Preference for experience in cybersecurity, cryptography, semiconductors, or advanced software patents.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

• USPTO registration is mandatory.

• Excellent skills in patent drafting, technical writing, and communication with clients.

• Some transferable patent prosecution business is preferred.
