Quantity Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Examine construction drawings and specifications to create comprehensive quantity take-offs and material requirements.

• Develop pre-construction documentation, including project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, contracts, and other critical documents before project initiation.

• Work closely with site managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless and efficient project execution.

• Oversee and monitor two projects concurrently, delivering regular progress updates and status reports to stakeholders.

• Supervise material sourcing and procurement processes, including vendor coordination, negotiation, and cost analysis.

• Handle utility applications and communicate directly with utility providers for new service connections, system upgrades, and adherence to regulatory compliance.

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations while promoting safe working practices on site.

• Conduct feasibility and cost analyses to assist in development financing and coordinate with the finance team during project fund drawdowns.

• Offer cost-effective recommendations and identify opportunities for process or design enhancements to improve project performance.

• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and project management.

• Strong capability to interpret and analyze architectural and engineering drawings.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficient in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and codes of practice is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on effective cost management.

• Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities, adept at managing multiple priorities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.

• Team-oriented with a proactive and cooperative approach to achieving project objectives.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
