Quality Manager – Construction Materials Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage projects involving the testing of construction materials from their inception to completion.

• Ensure projects are completed on time, adhering to the defined scope, schedule, and budget.

• Supervise both laboratory and field-testing operations.

• Cultivate client relationships and guarantee adherence to industry standards.

• Facilitate the professional growth of your team members.

• Act as the Project Owner’s Onsite CSA Quality Manager.

• Serve as the main point of contact between the client and contractors, effectively communicating project expectations and requirements.

• Oversee quality assurance and control measures from contractors and third-party testing agencies related to the project scope.

• Conduct CSA-related inspections as the Owner’s Representative.

• Evaluate inspection and testing reports to confirm compliance with relevant codes and specifications.

• Schedule and lead regular project meetings to ensure alignment on expectations, performance, and deliverables.

• Maintain a project quality health tracking dashboard.

• Provide clients with weekly updates regarding project progress and significant quality events.

• Secure necessary resources for every phase of the project to ensure timely and successful completion.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements to foster a safe and productive work environment.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related field is preferred.

• At least five years of project experience in a relevant field or discipline with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Demonstrated success in meeting and surpassing client expectations through effective project management.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate and thrive within a team environment.

• Strong organization, leadership, and negotiation capabilities.

• In-depth knowledge of Construction Quality Management and standard practices within the industry.

• Exceptional client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal and decision-making abilities, with a knack for generating innovative solutions to complex challenges.

• Capacity to maintain focus and operate safely in a dynamic work environment.
