Quality Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance testing strategies for enterprise applications and products.

• Lead initiatives for test automation, validation, and execution.

• Develop QA frameworks, accelerators, and best practices.

• Implement automation for web applications, APIs, and microservices.

• Plan and conduct functional, exploratory, integration, and non-functional testing.

• Establish strategies for performance, load, stress, and resilience testing.

• Provide support to squads with an emphasis on quality, reliability, and observability.

• Utilize AI to generate scenarios, analyze coverage, and optimize testing processes.

• Define quality metrics, standards, and governance.

• Establish and advance test factories, fostering the development and maturation of QA teams.

• Drive continuous improvement throughout software development and delivery workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced or fluent English for effective professional communication.

• Proven experience defining testing strategies for complex systems.

• Strong background in test automation and quality engineering.

• Experience in establishing or leading test factories and QA teams.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).

• Knowledge of requirements, test, and defect traceability.

• Proficient in Azure DevOps, Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail.

• Experience in automating tests for web applications, APIs, and microservices.

• Background in performance engineering using tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, or similar technologies.

• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Familiarity with distributed architectures and microservices.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

• Hands-on experience applying generative AI to software quality, including test generation, synthetic data, and results analysis.

• Proficient in at least two of the following programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.

• Preferred qualifications: Security Testing (SAST, DAST, and IAST); OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, and ABAC; SQL and NoSQL databases; Brazil’s LGPD and data anonymization; FinOps applied to QA environments; Developer Experience (DX); intelligent test impact analysis.
