Quality Auditor – Building Inspections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct regularly scheduled in-plant audits as directed by the Regional Inspection Manager.

• Carry out planned on-site audits.

• Execute product sampling.

• Oversee clients’ adherence to approved quality systems.

• Assess and communicate the status of each client's quality system to the Regional Inspection Manager.

• Submit inspection reports to the Regional Inspection Manager for review by the end of each month.

• Build relationships with state officials and HUD.

• Adhere to applicable ICC NTA procedures while performing inspection tasks.

• Recognize, recommend, and pursue opportunities for process improvements.

• Foster effective communication throughout the organization.

• Identify ways to improve communication among staff members.

• Offer insights and suggestions for addressing recurring field issues.

• Maintain regular communication with Inspection Managers.

• Carry out other tasks and special assignments as requested by the Regional Inspection Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Entry-level ICC Building Inspector position in the Kansas region.

• Must successfully complete ICC Residential examinations in Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing within 12 months of employment.

• Required to complete CEU training to maintain licenses and certifications.

• Capability to travel to client locations or worksites via airplane or automobile.

• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

• Two years of experience in building construction, building code enforcement, or conducting quality assurance audits.

• A valid Driver’s License is mandatory.

• Some overnight travel will be necessary.

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.

• Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies.

• Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and using office equipment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.

• Visual acuity to read both printed and digital materials.

• Auditory capacity to communicate effectively in person and via phone.

• May need to climb stairs in a multi-level office building.

• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings as well as in a standard office environment with artificial lighting and climate control.
