Linguistic Quality Auditor – IPA Phonetic Transcription Review

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits on a selection of linguist submissions to ensure the original validate/correct decision was accurate.

• Verify that IPA transcriptions accurately represent the pronunciation found in the audio.

• Detect errors or inconsistencies within the original review.

• Offer corrections where necessary.

• Operate within the client-owned platform environment.

• Evaluate submissions that include short audio clips, standard orthographic transcriptions, and AI-generated IPA transcriptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in the target locale.

• In-depth knowledge of IPA phonetic transcription and phonetics.

• Previous experience with CAT tools or similar client-owned platforms.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while adhering to quality benchmarks.

• Capability to meet established turnaround times and project quality expectations.

• Availability for roughly 20 hours between project initiation and mid-October 2026.
