
Quality Assurance Supervisor – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Inspire, guide, and mentor a team of quality assurance testers by providing clear direction, establishing performance expectations, and nurturing a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Ensure that software products adhere to high-quality standards through comprehensive test planning, testing of new functionalities, and robust automated testing frameworks.
• Support multiple Scrum teams/PODs.
• Primarily a hands-on role with a significant focus on individual contributions (approximately 70%).
• Offer light people leadership and mentorship responsibilities (approximately 30%).
• Assess existing QA tools and processes; suggest and implement continuous improvements to the automation strategy and execution.
• Establish and uphold team standards and development guidelines to guarantee the scalability and maintainability of automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to incorporate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Work with leadership to determine appropriate staffing levels.
• Plan and execute capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability and optimal performance.
• Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
• Act as a team representative during meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
• ISTQB: Agile Testing or Foundation Level Testing is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience is required.
• Proficiency with agile methodologies and Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc., is required.
• Experience in testing cloud-native applications on a major public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GPC.
• AWS experience is preferred.
• Proven application of data privacy practices and laws is required.
• Experience in managing projects and resources is required.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and knowledge of HIPAA is preferred.
