This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver thorough software quality assurance and testing oversight for the Navy Medicine Online development team.
• Assess development activities and confirm application readiness prior to production deployment.
• Create, implement, and sustain formal QA processes, testing standards, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Assist with RMF, ASR, ATO, and IV&V activities.
• Act as the final quality checkpoint for software releases and provide GO, GO-WITH-CONDITIONS, or NO-GO recommendations.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and automated test suites.
• Oversee project pipelines in ALM environments, including testing, defect management, quality controls, and release readiness.
• Identify, analyze, document, prioritize, and track software defects, performance bottlenecks, integration issues, and other quality concerns.
• Communicate test strategies, execution status, quality metrics, defects, risks, and findings regarding release readiness to project managers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, testing standards, and best practices in QA.
• Utilize AI-assisted development and testing capabilities to enhance scalable test automation frameworks.
• Design and implement automated testing for RESTful web services and APIs.
• Conduct cross-browser, accessibility, database, backend, and integration testing.
• Develop and run SQL queries to validate database transactions, application behavior, data accuracy, and end-to-end functionality.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, security professionals, project managers, and government stakeholders to address defects and ensure requirements are satisfied.
• Active Secret clearance or the capability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Proven understanding and proficiency in utilizing AI platforms and AI-assisted tools for software design, development, testing, analysis, and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, executing, and managing system testing and evaluation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in developing and maintaining software requirements based on user specifications, system functionality, acceptance criteria, and existing software defects.
• Proficient with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools and processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent technical writing and editing capabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, Agile software development methodologies, and the context of the engineering lifecycle.
• Experience working within integrated development, testing, security, and release management environments.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and software configuration management practices.
• Experience supporting RMF, ATO, ASR, and/or IV&V activities within Department of Defense or federal environments.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and technologies such as Puppeteer, Selenium, Java, NUnit, JUnit, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs, databases, ETL processes, data warehouses, and cloud-based applications.
