QA Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features, integrations, and go-live events across the IT project portfolio.

• Coordinate functional, regression, and user acceptance testing for custom Java/PostgreSQL applications.

• Identify, log, and monitor defects until resolution.

• Collaborate with Development and Business Analysts to prioritize fixes prior to go-live deadlines.

• Establish formal QA processes and documentation to create a repeatable and auditable testing framework.

• Independently manage testing workstreams across multiple concurrent projects.

• Partner with the Infra/DevOps Engineer on the setup, configuration, and refreshing of test environments.

• Raise quality risks and testing deficiencies to the BA Manager.

• Document deviations, incidents, non-conformances, environmental issues, and other relevant concerns.

• Aid in the effective functioning and continuous enhancement of company processes.

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a QA/Test Analyst position, preferably in a software, SaaS, or custom application setting.

• Experience in crafting and executing test plans, test cases, and scripts for both manual and ideally automated testing.

• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.

• Comprehension of the software development lifecycle and QA best practices in an Agile or hybrid delivery model.

• Experience in testing integrations, ERP or business systems, or bespoke applications is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to handle competing testing priorities across simultaneous projects.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate comfortably with Business Analysts, Developers, and Infrastructure/DevOps teams.

• Adherence to company policies, procedures, work instructions, and applicable legal/regulatory standards.

• Compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Good Distribution Practice standards.

• Completion of required training and maintenance of role competency.

• Keeping accurate, complete, and timely records.

• Assisting with internal and external audits.
