Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate software applications that have been developed or updated by the Application Development team.

• Perform structured peer and code reviews of testing artifacts.

• Design, create, and maintain realistic and compliance-friendly test data sets, including synthetic healthcare data that is PHI-safe.

• Develop and implement validation strategies for AI/ML and RAG features.

• Engage in test planning, execution tracking, defect management, and reporting.

• Provide feedback on release readiness criteria to Engineering and Product stakeholders.

• Update and maintain the regression suite following each release.

• Create and sustain automated test suites in Python, pytest, and JavaScript/Node.js within CI/CD pipelines.

• Construct and review complex SQL queries, joins, and aggregations to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation.

• Confirm data flows across source systems, transformation layers, and reporting/consumption layers.

• Develop and uphold automated evaluation harnesses and datasets for AI/ML features.

• Validate applications, APIs, and test environments hosted on on-premises data centers and Microsoft Azure.

• Read and analyze source code, pull requests, and technical designs in React, Node.js, Python, and ColdFusion.

• Write comprehensive test cases and test plans aligned with code paths, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with developers during code reviews to pinpoint areas with inadequate test coverage, untested branches, and high-risk modifications.

• Conduct post-deployment validations of application, API, and AI feature stability in production.

• Investigate production defects and data inconsistencies, perform root cause analysis, and lead resolution efforts with Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automated software testing.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manual software testing.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in component-level testing.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in end-to-end testing.

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Strong proficiency in React.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js.

• Strong proficiency in Python source code within GitLab.

• Expertise in testing Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Expertise in testing Machine Learning (ML).

• Expertise in evaluating Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Expertise in evaluating Machine Learning (ML).

• Expertise in testing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Expertise in testing generative AI features.

• Expertise in testing workloads on Microsoft Azure.

• High School Diploma is required.

• All candidates must successfully complete a Background Screen before starting employment.
