QA Tester, UAT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Ensure that software releases fulfill functional, quality, and business acceptance criteria before deployment.

• Develop and uphold comprehensive, traceable test cases and scripts.

• Align test coverage with requirements and pinpoint any coverage deficiencies.

• Engage in reviews of requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Carry out functional, regression, end-to-end, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.

• Organize and manage UAT cycles in collaboration with business stakeholders.

• Record test results, evidence, and outcomes thoroughly.

• Log, monitor, retest, and resolve defects.

• Evaluate defect trends and identify persistent issues.

• Contribute to quality gates and offer go/no-go release advice.

• Raise quality risks and keep up-to-date release-level test summaries.

• Enhance automation capabilities and assist in developing automated regression test scripts.

• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and the Product Owner.

• Take part in sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Suggest enhancements to testing processes, templates, and tools.

• Maintain testing documentation and a communal testing knowledge base.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• 1-3 years of experience in manual testing and/or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within a software development environment.

• Proficiency in crafting clear, traceable test cases and scripts based on requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Experience in executing functional, regression, and UAT test cycles while documenting results.

• Familiarity with logging, tracking, and retesting defects using a defect-tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, Xray).

• A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Basic SQL skills for data validation and test data setup.

• ISTQB Foundation Certification (or equivalent testing certification) is a plus.

• Authorization to work in Europe.
