This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Ensure that all activities are in alignment with the vision set forth by Elara Caring’s board of directors, executive team, and Compliance leadership.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and forms for PCS providers to guarantee regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regulatory research and review annual policies and forms to meet evolving standards.
• Aid agencies in preparing for surveys, providing survey support, and developing action plans required by surveys.
• Conduct second-level reviews and document audit findings for the PCS Quality & Compliance leadership team.
• Escalate significant compliance, billing, or business risks to executive leadership.
• Engage in initial and ongoing training concerning regulatory, billing, and accreditation requirements.
• Support special projects, cross-training initiatives, and the continuous enhancement of the compliance program, including audit and risk-prevention strategies.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness in all job functions.
• Advocate for Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to promote the quality of care.
• Uphold patient and staff privacy and confidentiality in accordance with the HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
• Execute other assigned duties and projects.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience while maintaining an active, unrestricted RN and/or LPN license.
• Preferred, but not required, 5+ years of experience in Personal Care Services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Federal and State healthcare laws and regulations related to fraud, waste, and abuse prevention, as well as patient privacy rights and protections.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Possession of a dependable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance that complies with State laws.
• Capability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently, including lifting at least 25lbs.
• Ability to transport equipment and supplies necessary for job functions.
