QA with Security Fix Validation Expertise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure quality assurance on a security remediation team dedicated to a major US mortgage lender.

• Confirm remediation solutions by verifying that vulnerabilities are no longer present and that intended functions are preserved.

• Develop and implement regression testing for each fix.

• Evaluate the impact of dependency upgrades and configuration modifications.

• Create and sustain automated regression coverage.

• Establish testable validation and closure criteria in collaboration with developers.

• Generate validation evidence for the client's risk management program.

• Conduct testing within the client’s AWS environments.

• Ensure consistent deployment behavior across various environments.

• Identify quality risks early when the scope of fixes appears broader than initially anticipated.

• Integrate automated tests into the client’s CI/CD pipeline.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Experience in QA or quality engineering for web applications.

• Proficient English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).

• Demonstrated ability in both manual exploratory testing and test automation.

• Experience with test automation using modern frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.

• Familiarity with API testing using Postman, REST-assured, or similar tools.

• Strong discipline in regression testing.

• Comfortable testing PHP web applications hosted on AWS.

• Ability to read PHP code well enough to comprehend changes made by fixes.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.

• Exposure to security testing, including OWASP-based test cases and fundamental penetration testing concepts.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.

• Proficient in SQL for data validation purposes.

• Previous experience on a remediation or technical debt team.

• Background in the mortgage or financial services sector.

• Experience collaborating with international clients.
