Functional QA Tester, Manual – Guidewire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Partner with the client's QA team and other stakeholders to comprehend system requirements and guarantee precise testing.

• Collaborate with developers and the offshore QA team to identify system gaps and fulfill client requirements.

• Create test cases based on business needs and system specifications.

• Execute test cases and scenarios to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

• Validate and test intricate business rules and workflows.

• Provide effort estimates and assessments for manual testing tasks.

• Work autonomously while effectively contributing to a team environment.

• Employ Agile methodologies to promote efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Continuously enhance testing processes and strategies to boost quality and efficiency.

• Remain informed about industry trends and best practices in Guidewire Policy system testing and P&C insurance.

• Mentor junior QA team members by offering guidance, support, and technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 5+ years of experience in testing Guidewire Claim Center Configuration and Insurance Suite applications (Policy Center, Billing Center, Contact Manager) Integration implementations.

• Guidewire cloud certification is mandatory.

• In-depth understanding of P&C insurance, encompassing both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.

• Experience with Claims creation, FNOLs, Reserves, Checks, and other payment transactions.

• Analyst Associate certification in Guidewire.

• Proficient in manual testing within Guidewire Cloud projects, including upgrades or implementations.

• Experience in Guidewire automation testing.

• Skilled in adapting testing standards and best practices.

• Proficient in gap assessment regarding requirements and OOTB functionalities.

• Strong technical skills in manual functional testing within a continuous delivery environment.

• Proficient in Agile methodologies and experienced in Agile environments.

• Familiarity with test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally, or similar.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience working in Agile environments following Onsite Offshore mode.

• Strong technical skills in non-functional testing within a continuous delivery environment.

• Functional knowledge or practical experience with Guidewire XCenters, including Policy Center, Billing Center, and Contact Manager.

• Experience in Guidewire automation testing utilizing the Guidewire GT UI Framework.

• ISTQB or Agile certifications are desirable.
