QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement within the software application.

• Collaborate with development teams, operations, support, business partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely communication and resolution.

• Identify use cases and scenarios while creating, prioritizing, and executing test cases.

• Generate reports for stakeholders to keep them informed.

• Track software defects and investigate their root causes.

• Prepare automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency.

• Troubleshoot issues with automation software as they arise.

• Create detailed test plans and summary reports.

• Conduct regression and exploratory testing as required.

• Perform functional and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality.

• Maintain the automation suite to ensure its effectiveness.

• Generate test data needed for automation processes.

• Submit Pull Requests for code reviews and improvements.

• Understand the internals of software, debug problems, and automate repetitive tasks.

• Analyze reports from Extent and Cucumber automation tools.

• Trigger the automation suite whenever necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Core skills: BDD (Behavior Driven Development), Zephyr, Rest-Assured.

• Proficiency in Selenium with Java.

• Familiarity with the Cucumber framework.

• Experience with automation frameworks that integrate back-end systems with RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of tools such as Saucelabs, Flyway, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, and Maven.

• Ability to identify weaknesses and problem areas within software applications.

• Capacity to work closely with development teams, operations, support, business partners, and other stakeholders.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Competence in identifying use cases/scenarios, creating and prioritizing test cases, executing them, and generating reports for stakeholders.

• Experience in tracking software defects and investigating their causes.

• Proficiency in preparing automation scripts.

• Experience in troubleshooting automation software issues.

• Ability to create test plans and summary reports.

• Experience in executing regression and exploratory testing.

• Expertise in performing functional and end-to-end testing.

• Experience in maintaining automation suites.

• Familiarity with creating test data for automation purposes.

• Experience in submitting Pull Requests for code reviews.

• Understanding of software internals and debugging processes.

• Experience in analyzing Extent and Cucumber automation reports.

• Ability to trigger automation suites when needed.
