QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team consisting of a Product Manager, Designer, Front-End, Back-End, and QA Engineers.

• Create automated tests for newly introduced features and regression scenarios.

• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing, supplementing with manual testing when necessary.

• Triage and accurately log defects from identification through to resolution.

• Track and assist in minimizing the ratio of defects identified by end-users compared to those found by QA.

• Ensure that the QA impact on release schedules is kept to a minimum.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance test generation and validate the tests produced.

• Provide a QA perspective during the review of requirements.

• Take ownership of test coverage for squad features while progressively increasing accountability for quality.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Development roles.

• Practical experience with Playwright or a similar test automation framework.

• Proficient coding skills that facilitate efficient test automation.

• Experience in API testing and automation.

• Knowledge of issue tracking tools (preferably Jira) and version control systems (preferably Git).

• Effective communication skills suited for a remote work setting, ensuring clear written communication and dependable asynchronous collaboration.

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants used for test generation, along with a commitment to establishing a disciplined workflow around them.

• Experience in creating and upholding manual testing plans.

• Background in working on a SaaS platform or a custom-built product.

• Acquainted with agile environments and the dynamics of frequent release cycles.

• Understanding of DevOps practices related to QA infrastructure and CI/CD.

• Comprehension of web application development principles.

• Self-motivated and inquisitive; takes initiative, actively seeks feedback, and pursues personal growth.
