QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of automated testing methodologies within Moneycorp’s technology hub in Romania.

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies encompassing various components, services, and integration points.

• Perform functional and integration testing based on a thorough understanding of business and application requirements.

• Collect requirements and pinpoint appropriate mapped test cases.

• Prioritize and classify test cases according to their significance.

• Identify functional test cases for inclusion in regression test packs.

• Analyze outputs from test cycles and confirm requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Facilitate peer reviews with members of cross-functional teams.

• Engage in Sprint planning and provide estimates for tasks and testing.

• Identify gaps or unclear requirements.

• Create comprehensive end-to-end test plans for execution and reporting purposes.

• Take part in Scrum activities, including Sprint Planning, refinement sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Communicate progress to peers, Scrum team, QA Lead/Manager, and stakeholders.

• Ensure transparency in task activities and escalate any blockers.

• Collaborate with Development, IT, and DevOps teams.

• Meet activity targets established during Sprint Planning and/or by the Head of QA.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience as a QA/SDET in an agile software delivery environment.

• Practical knowledge in test planning, design of test cases, and reporting test progress.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, TestRail, and Jira.

• Experience with Playwright and C# (NUnit).

• Proficiency in using Postman, Newman, and monitoring tools for API testing.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as K6, Artillery, or LoadRunner.

• Knowledge in SMTP integration and tools like Mailhog or Mailosaur for email testing.

• Experience with SpecFlow/Cucumber and Gherkin.

• Familiarity with parameterized test suites and test data factories.

• Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, kubectl, and inspecting pods.

• Knowledge of message brokers like Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Azure Application Insights and KQL queries.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of agentic engineering practices.

• Previous experience in a financial institution is preferable.

• Experience in defining and executing non-functional test cases using standard testing methodologies is advantageous.

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certifications or equivalent qualifications are desirable.
