Python AI/ML Subject Matter Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mali.

📋 Description

• Utilize advanced machine learning methodologies across various projects related to synthetic biology, coding frameworks, niche-market e-commerce, and messaging platforms.

• Investigate and apply AI techniques such as CNNs, LSTMs, reinforcement learning, and transfer learning.

• Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, model assessment, fine-tuning, and deployment in production environments.

• Develop or assist in applications that incorporate computer vision, chatbots, recommendation systems, time-series analytics, robotics, and optimization.

• Collaborate with a new team that integrates digital and biological engineering.

• Simplify complex AI concepts into comprehensible training materials for junior team members.

• Participate in daily standup meetings and address technical inquiries while on call.

• Maintain a work log using Google Docs.

• Engage in assigned projects utilizing Python with AI/ML, Angular, Material, Node/NestJs, AWS, and Ionic.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with advanced machine learning techniques, including neural networks, deep learning, and natural language processing.

• Proficiency in Python AI/ML with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, and scikit-learn.

• Familiarity with computer vision, chatbots, recommendation systems, time-series forecasting, robotics, and optimization algorithms.

• Strong skills in data exploration, feature engineering, model evaluation/tuning, and production deployment.

• Knowledge of CUDA and distributed model training is advantageous.

• Preferred advanced degree in computer science, data science, or a related technical discipline.

• Solid mathematical abilities in linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.

• Capability to interpret current AI research papers and implement CNNs, LSTMs, reinforcement learning, and transfer learning techniques.

• Excellent communication skills to translate complex AI topics into training for junior staff.

• Experience with Python in AI/ML, Angular, Material, Node/NestJs, AWS, and Ionic.

• Ability to work remotely via platforms like TeamViewer or Chrome Remote Desktop.

• Proficient English comprehension and communication, easily understandable over the phone.

• Willingness to prioritize team needs over personal preferences and demonstrate initiative.

• Commitment to working a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

• Availability for on-call technical inquiries from 9 am to 5 pm CST.

• Comfort with the company's time-tracking software.

• Participation in a one-month probationary period.

• Stable and reliable internet connection.

• Engagement in daily standup meetings.

• Maintenance of a work log in Google Docs.
