Public Sector Compensation & Benefits Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits analyses for clients in the public sector.

• Assess the value of health benefits, retirement contributions, deferred compensation, leave, and premium pay.

• Combine benefits insights with salary market data and internal equity assessments.

• Create detailed cost models and various implementation scenarios.

• Evaluate survey methodologies to ensure defensibility.

• Compile executive summaries, staff reports, and materials for board meetings.

• Provide technical content related to total rewards for AlphaGov proposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in total compensation, benefits analysis, or compensation consulting for public-sector organizations.

• Proficient in valuing employer-sponsored benefits as part of total compensation.

• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and report-writing abilities.

• Experience in preparing materials for executive or board-level presentations.

• Familiarity with multi-state public benefits is a plus.

• Previous experience in consulting or subconsulting is advantageous.

• Certifications such as CCP/CEBS/WorldatWork are desirable.
