This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in developing a communication strategy and building strategic outreach relationships with government, interfaith, media, and community leaders.

• Foster connections between influential opinion leaders and Church leaders in alignment with regional priorities.

• Create, maintain, and prioritize essential contact lists throughout the area.

• Prepare materials and gifts for high-profile meetings.

• Document interactions in the CONNECT Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool while complying with data privacy regulations.

• Educate national and local communication councils on outreach initiatives.

• Secure necessary permissions for meetings with heads of state.

• Monitor and report on issues related to religious freedom and legislative concerns.

• Identify opinion leaders for religious freedom symposia and assist with organizing events.

• Keep leaders and influencers informed about pertinent issues.

• Develop prioritized journalist lists and synchronize messaging with headquarters.

• Provide training for spokespersons and create aligned speaking points.

• Act as a liaison for selected national or coordination council communication councils.

• Oversee the creation of public affairs materials, including press releases, articles, position papers, training documents, and speeches.

• Address media inquiries and craft stories for global media outlets.

• Conduct research and assessment for public relations campaigns.

• Review and analyze social, political, and economic trends.

• Create training materials for priesthood leaders, public affairs directors, and missionaries.

• Formulate crisis management plans.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education/certificate in a communication-related discipline, such as public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, government relations, international relations, political science, or social science.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public relations.

• A combination of education and experience totaling 8 years may be acceptable.

• Proven experience in implementing strategic outreach plans.

• Strong proficiency across a diverse range of communication channels.

• Ability to think critically and address problems effectively.

• Experience employing research methods and strategies to tackle practical challenges.

• Exceptional writing and editing abilities in the local language.

• Capability to work within a team environment and collaborate with area team members.

• Proficient in using technology, including the Microsoft Office product suite.

• Demonstrated willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

• Advanced English skills are preferred.

• A Master's degree is preferred.
