Public Investment Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the investment policy and portfolio strategy for public funds.

• Ensure adherence to the investment guidelines set forth by state public authorities.

• Provide comprehensive performance reporting and conduct market analysis.

• Deliver presentations to boards and finance committees.

• Contribute your qualifications and past-performance narratives to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming.

• Engage in current state authority projects that require investment advisory services.

• Participate in remote-first, project-oriented collaborations, with occasional travel to client locations.

• Confirm the scope, schedule, and fee with AlphaGov prior to the commencement of any engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in public funds investment advisory.

• SEC-registered investment adviser or associated with one.

• Comfortable working as a 1099 project-based consultant.

• Experience with New York State public authorities (preferred).

• CFA designation (preferred).

• Experience in fixed income portfolio management (preferred).
