Psychotherapist – NC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with primary care, pediatric, and specialty clinics within Advocate Health.

• Offer mental health support to patients experiencing a diverse range of psychiatric conditions.

• Conduct brief, solution-focused interventions through telephone or video consultations from a remote location.

• Develop, implement, and assess patient care based on identified needs.

• Manage clients in crisis utilizing therapeutic skills and assessment methods.

• Draft treatment plans according to diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation.

• Create discharge plans and oversee the termination process.

• Work alongside guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery.

• Accurately complete patient care assignments and document care and patient responses in the medical record.

• Provide accurate and timely billing information.

• Design, plan, and implement patient education initiatives.

• Maintain communication and collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.

• Operate in patient care environments including hospital units, emergency rooms, offices, and conference areas.

• Coordinate and communicate with staff across various disciplines and agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited graduate institution.

• Full licensure in the respective state.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.

• Initiate the licensure application process for South Carolina and Georgia within 90 days of hire if not already licensed.

• CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapists working in an inpatient psychiatric environment.

• Flexibility in navigating patient schedules.

• Ability to multitask across multiple virtual platforms.

• Capability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

• Capacity to work extended hours while seated in front of a desktop computer.
