Psychiatrist – NP/PA Supervision

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Offer collaborative oversight for PMHNPs and other relevant APPs in line with California regulations and Tia clinical guidelines.

• Conduct brief, regular supervision meetings with assigned APPs, typically lasting around 15–30 minutes per APP each month.

• Be reasonably accessible for additional clinical inquiries or case discussions as necessary.

• Provide assistance on intricate psychiatric cases, medication management, diagnostic inquiries, and suitable escalation of care.

• Review cases or documentation when clinically warranted or as mandated by relevant regulations or Tia policies.

• Uphold necessary supervisory agreements and documentation.

• Collaborate with Tia clinical leadership to ensure safe, evidence-based psychiatric care.

• Aid in identifying clinical trends, risk factors, or opportunities for provider education.

• Appropriately escalate any patient safety, quality, or clinical issues.

• Stay informed about applicable California regulations governing physician collaboration and APP practices.

• This position is primarily focused on supervision and consultation and does not involve managing a routine patient panel.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO from a recognized medical institution.

• Board certification in Psychiatry.

• Active and unrestricted California physician license.

• Current DEA registration.

• Experience in supervising, collaborating with, or providing clinical consultation to PMHNPs or other APPs.

• Strong understanding of outpatient psychiatric medication management and evidence-based mental health treatments.

• Comfort in supporting seasoned clinicians within a collaborative, high-autonomy practice setting.

• Exceptional clinical judgment and responsive communication skills.
