Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver thorough psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and young adults through telehealth.

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and establish evidence-based diagnoses.

• Create personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, evaluate their effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments.

• Offer brief interventions and psychoeducation in conjunction with medication management.

• Work together with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators during regular case reviews.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EHR system.

• Inform families about diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and what they can expect.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active, unrestricted Illinois PMHNP license (multi-state or compact licensure preferred).

• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC.

• Current DEA license.

• A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program.

• Experience with or a strong interest in working with youth and families.

• Ability to work independently in a telehealth setting.

• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and genuine empathy.

• Availability during afternoons, evenings, and weekends is mandatory.
