Provider Support Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Serve as the bridge between healthcare providers and patients to facilitate ongoing patient care

• Deliver pathology and laboratory results to patients

• Fulfill requests for medical records

• Manage prescription refill requests

• Handle prior authorization requests for medications

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned and as needs change

• Improve the efficiency of healthcare professionals through thorough administrative and patient support services utilizing virtual technologies

• Optimize healthcare workflows and enhance patient experiences by providing timely and precise information, scheduling, and assistance

• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism within a virtual setting

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Preferably possess healthcare-specific training, though not mandatory

• Maintain a friendly, polite, and professional demeanor

• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Show empathy and a caring attitude towards patients

• Be self-motivated and detail-oriented

• Capable of working independently

• Must adhere to strict patient confidentiality and comply with US HIPAA laws and other pertinent regulations

• Have a reliable high-speed internet connection

• Ensure a quiet, private, and dedicated workspace at home

• Must pass an internet speed assessment

• Require a wired internet connection; no Wi-Fi allowed

• Completion of two weeks of training is mandatory; training schedule may vary from the regular work schedule
