Property Insurance Litigation Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee and litigate property damage and insurance coverage disputes from initial assessment to final resolution

• Advocate for policyholders in conflicts related to storm, hurricane, fire, water, and various other property losses

• Compose pleadings, motions, discovery requests, demand letters, and settlement agreements

• Evaluate insurance policies and assess coverage disputes

• Formulate effective litigation strategies

• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel

• Prepare cases for mediation, depositions, hearings, and trial

• Work collaboratively with seasoned attorneys and legal support staff to achieve outstanding client results

⛳️ Requirements

• Active admission to the Texas Bar and a license in good standing

• At least 1 year of litigation experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Proficiency in drafting legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

• Strong skills in legal research, writing, negotiation, and client communication

• Capability to independently manage deadlines and responsibilities within a remote setting

• Candidates must reside within approximately 75 miles of Houston

• Availability for in-person court appearances as needed

• Experience in property insurance, insurance bad faith, insurance defense, or federal court litigation is advantageous, but not mandatory

• Previous experience in property insurance litigation is a plus, but not required
