This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Evaluate assigned sales opportunities in collaboration with the Deal Desk Manager and sales representatives to pinpoint areas for enhanced manufacturer pricing support.
β’ Collect equipment specifications, quantities, project details, purchasing timelines, and any other necessary information to create thorough pricing requests.
β’ Proactively engage with manufacturers and their representatives to showcase opportunities and negotiate project-specific discounts, special pricing, and applicable specification credits.
β’ Identify relevant manufacturer programs and complete necessary project registrations and credit requests within set deadlines.
β’ Negotiate pricing in line with company guidelines and escalate complex negotiations or exceptions to the Deal Desk Manager.
β’ Establish and sustain productive relationships with manufacturers through accurate information, professional communication, and consistent follow-up.
β’ Monitor open requests and promptly follow up to ensure customer quotation deadlines are met.
β’ Document approved pricing, credit amounts, eligibility criteria, expiration dates, and supporting correspondence.
β’ Relay manufacturer approvals and conditions to sales and purchasing teams to ensure accurate reflection in quotes and orders.
β’ Collaborate with purchasing and accounting to confirm that negotiated discounts are applied and approved credits are submitted and received.
β’ Maintain precise opportunity records and report on pricing improvements, credits realized, outstanding requests, and turnaround times.
β’ Stay updated on manufacturer pricing programs and suggest enhancements to the pricing-request and credit-tracking processes.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or project pricing within a commercial foodservice equipment and supplies dealership or distribution environment.
β’ Required hands-on experience in negotiating manufacturer discounts, requesting special project pricing, and securing specification credits in previous roles.
β’ Proven success in obtaining manufacturer support beyond standard dealer pricing, with the ability to provide specific examples of past negotiations and their outcomes.
β’ Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment categories, major manufacturers, and manufacturer representative networks.
β’ Practical understanding of specification credit eligibility, project registration requirements, approval processes, and necessary supporting documentation.
β’ Strong communication and negotiation abilities, demonstrating confidence when engaging with manufacturers and their representatives via phone and email.
β’ Capability to clearly present project details, competitive circumstances, and purchasing timelines to support pricing requests.
β’ Understanding of dealer costs, gross margins, and the impact of discounts and credits on profitability.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, along with experience using purchasing, quoting, ERP, or CRM systems.
β’ Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-up deadlines effectively.
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining responsive communication and accountability for results.
