Project Manager – Shopify

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the construction of Shopify stores and theme development projects for client merchants and brands, often managing multiple projects at once.

• Maintain daily communication with end clients regarding project scope, timelines, status updates, and potential trade-offs.

• Supervise developers, designers, and QA to ensure clarity on tickets, priorities, and roadblocks.

• Transform merchant and brand objectives into structured phases of Shopify work.

• Utilize Shopify expertise to question estimates and pinpoint launch risks early in the process.

• Lead projects from initiation to launch, while also managing ongoing theme maintenance.

• Keep US clients informed in writing and during live calls within the agreed Eastern Time availability.

• Employ AI tools to create drafts for plans, tickets, status updates, and risk notes, ensuring outputs are reviewed prior to delivery to clients.

• Develop comprehensive handoff documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Shopify Project Manager in an agency setting, overseeing Shopify store builds and theme development for various merchants and brands.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple Shopify client projects while maintaining honest deadlines.

• Comfortable engaging directly with merchants, founders, or brand stakeholders.

• Experience in the daily management of developers and designers.

• Strong understanding of Shopify's structure and functionality, including themes, applications, checkout processes, content freezes, and launch timelines.

• Proficient with tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, Asana, or other similar platforms.

• Familiarity with using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent for planning and communication purposes.

• Proficiency in English at a C1 level or higher.

• Availability until approximately 5 PM EST for real-time client coordination.

• Commitment to providing accurate timelines, early identification of blockers, and successful project launches.
