Project Manager – SD-WAN Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, tracking, and execution of federal Coastal Sentinel integration activities and their dependencies within the Enterprise SD-WAN program.

• Manage the scope, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), schedule, cost, resources, dependencies, risks, and deliverables throughout the planning, implementation, and operational transition phases.

• Develop and maintain the WBS and Integrated Master Schedule for Coastal Sentinel integration.

• Monitor site-level integration activities from installation, validation, acceptance, to closeout.

• Keep track of action items, decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) management.

• Identify conflicts in schedules, resource limitations, technical dependencies, and changes in scope.

• Establish project baselines and document any approved changes to scope, schedule, and costs.

• Assist in change control processes and identify potential scope expansion or contractual modifications.

• Oversee labor hours and costs, generate forecasts, and coordinate resource needs.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, schedule updates, milestone reports, spend-plan inputs, and executive summaries.

• Lead integration meetings, technical working sessions, schedule reviews, and stakeholder coordination meetings.

• Align requirements and dependencies with Enterprise SD-WAN deployment activities and engage with government or third-party stakeholders.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for project decisions, customer directives, scope alterations, and schedule impacts.

• Provide leadership with timely insights into schedule variances, cost discrepancies, resource overextensions, and critical-path implications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of project or program management experience in complex IT, network engineering, telecommunications, or systems integration initiatives.

• Proven experience in managing scope, WBS, schedules, costs, resources, risks, and dependencies.

• Experience in developing and maintaining integrated project schedules and detailed WBS frameworks.

• Strong comprehension of project baselines, critical paths, milestones, dependencies, schedule variances, and change control processes.

• Background in tracking labor hours, burn rates, forecasts, budgets, and project cost performance.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent technical workstreams and cross-project dependencies.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with engineers, architects, technical leads, customers, subcontractors, and senior leadership.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating detailed technical execution into clear program-level reports.

• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, or comparable project management tools.

• Active Secret security clearance is required.

• PMP certification is highly preferred.

• Experience supporting DHS, DoD, or federal programs.

• Familiarity with managing network modernization, Cisco SD-WAN, cybersecurity, Zero Trust, or C5I integration projects.

• Knowledge of federal contracting environments, including Prime/Subcontractor operations.

• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, schedule performance metrics, resource forecasting, and cost-to-complete analysis.

• Experience supporting geographically distributed deployment programs across multiple operational sites.

• Familiarity with Power BI or other dashboard/reporting tools.
