This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee assigned Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and Blade projects from the planning phase through to project closure.
• Ensure accountability for safety, quality, scheduling, costs, customer satisfaction, and compliance with contracts.
• Act as the main point of contact between customers, field execution teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of safety and lead by example.
• Manage project EHS performance, ensure closure of corrective actions, uphold safety standards, meet customer requirements, and comply with regulatory obligations.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and support the accuracy of certified payroll.
• Keep project documentation ready for audits.
• Oversee quality documentation, inspection records, punch list management, and final acceptance by customers.
• Facilitate lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create detailed execution plans and lead project kickoff meetings.
• Track progress and manage risks, issues, and recovery strategies.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and milestone-based project reviews.
• Develop and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost management.
• Monitor costs associated with labor, equipment, cranes, subcontractors, travel, and materials.
• Manage invoicing, change orders, and cost recovery opportunities.
• Maintain project profitability and accuracy in forecasts.
• Lead customer status meetings and provide updates on project execution.
• Address customer expectations, concerns, escalations, and recovery strategies.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crane providers, logistics vendors, and equipment suppliers.
• Assess vendor performance and contractor compliance.
• Support onboarding processes for contractors and assess their performance.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment readiness, site mobilization, tooling, crane logistics, outage planning, and tracking customer availability.
• Ensure project readiness prior to field execution.
• Mentor future project leaders and advocate for continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent field experience will be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial construction, heavy lift operations, field services, or related sectors.
• Proven experience managing Major Component Upgrades, Blade projects, or similar large-scale field operations.
• Familiarity with crane operations, lift planning, rigging practices, and site logistics.
• Experience supporting projects in environments governed by prevailing wage regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, and project management software.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is desirable.
• Experience with wind turbine major component exchanges is preferred.
• Background in blade repair or replacement projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of labor compliance and certified payroll processes is preferred.
• Experience in managing subcontracted workforces is desirable.
• Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Experience working directly with utility-scale renewable energy clients is advantageous.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
