Project Manager – Industrial Wastewater, Design Build Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with project directors to address RFPs.

• Prepare conceptual estimates, schedules, and proposal documentation.

• Participate in client presentations.

• Engage in design reviews and offer constructability insights.

• Monitor design progress while managing scope and cost modifications.

• Develop and oversee detailed estimates, cost codes, and cost control systems.

• Create scopes of work for bidding packages.

• Support the solicitation and assessment of competitive bids.

• Evaluate and qualify subcontractors, recommending contract awards.

• Assist with major procurement orders and coordination.

• Establish project organization, staffing plans, and schedules.

• Direct project timelines and facilitate site meetings.

• Update schedules and ensure adherence to permitting and inspection authorities.

• Drive cash flow through invoicing and collections.

• Manage change orders as well as subcontractor and vendor payments.

• Monitor project progress, safety, and quality standards.

• Address subcontractor performance issues and implement corrective measures.

• Mentor construction personnel and assist with performance management.

• Lead project close-out and warranty work.

• Travel as necessary to support engineer-led design-build project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in construction, design, or project management.

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects valued between $5 million and $50 million or more.

• Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.

• Prior experience with estimating, construction methodologies, and project management technology.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred.

• A Master’s Degree in Construction Management is preferred.

• AACE estimating certification is preferred.
