Project Manager, Incident Response

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee various external technical projects from start to finish

• Adhere to established procedures, project templates, and methodologies

• Facilitate Professional Services stand-ups and meetings

• Collaborate on project planning, design, deliverables, timelines, and contingency strategies

• Transform SOW requirements into practical, actionable project plans

• Manage project resources, budgets, scope, time entries, and quality assurance processes

• Coordinate with engineers regarding project objectives, strategies, execution, proposals, and documentation of scope

• Assist with initial incident triage and access setup for project initiation

• Allocate and align project resources based on needs, capacity, and skill sets

• Monitor engineer progress and identify potential roadblocks

• Oversee and summarize project advancements for company leadership, finance, clients, and IR partners

• Conduct client status meetings and manage expectations effectively

• Lead PowerPoint presentations and project reports for substantial projects

• Participate in the incident response on-call rotation

• Escalate issues to higher-level resources when necessary

• Resolve billing disputes, overruns, and customer service challenges

• Conduct post-mortems and enhance internal processes

• Assist project teams in overcoming technical and business hurdles

• Question requirements to ensure the delivery of the right solution at the right cost and time

• Utilize knowledge of systems configuration, management, maintenance, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery, access solutions, diagnostics, and security improvements

• Maintain billable utilization and complete mandatory daily reports

• Adhere to project deadlines while ensuring profitability and quality

• Assess project success using cost and schedule variance metrics

• Log change details, time entries, and work notes in ServiceNow in real-time

• Identify opportunities for process improvement

• Execute deliverables through configuration, testing, implementation, refinement, documentation, monitoring, and transition

• Follow change management protocols for approved client-environment modifications

• Communicate project status, follow-ups, and feedback both internally and externally as directed

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise qualifying you to excel in technical project delivery and systems engineering necessary for recovering, deploying, and enhancing infrastructures

• Ideally possess a four-year degree in a relevant field

• In the process of obtaining or already have PMP certification

• Demonstrated experience managing projects as the designated Project Manager, rather than solely delivering them as an engineer

• Experience overseeing client-facing projects and building consultative relationships with clients

• Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering IT waterfall projects involving systems and virtualization, with exposure to enterprise infrastructures

• Strong organizational system for task management and quality maintenance

• Exceptional writing abilities and highly developed verbal communication skills

• Capability to communicate effectively with C-Suite executives and engineers

• Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary

• Willingness to travel to client locations when required

• A dedicated, private home office space

• A private internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 50MBPS
