Project Manager – EV Fleet Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and cultivate relationships with vendors and contractors involved in EV fleet depot and charging infrastructure initiatives.

• Execute requests for proposals with chosen vendors and contractors to secure high-quality partnerships at competitive rates.

• Direct engineering teams in enhancing site and construction layouts, encompassing charging bays, vehicle queuing, canopies, and employee support facilities.

• Assist in customer-facing negotiations and provide updates on construction progress.

• Negotiate contracts pertaining to engineering, procurement, and construction.

• Oversee contractors and vendors throughout the construction phase to ensure timely and budget-compliant commercial operation.

• Coordinate utility interconnection and make-ready processes for high-capacity EV charging loads.

• Supply information requested by investors to facilitate project financing and keep stakeholders updated through project management and Salesforce platforms.

• Establish project-specific budgets and corporate construction metrics.

• Support the Project Development and Project Finance teams by providing construction cost estimates and conducting constructability reviews.

• Travel as necessary for site visits, construction oversight, conferences, and company events.

• Collect market intelligence on the evolving EV fleet infrastructure sector and leverage insights to enhance systems and processes.

• Manage and synchronize multiple projects and work efforts.

• Create tools and processes to effectively execute an expanding pipeline of EV fleet projects at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in EV charging infrastructure, fleet/EV depot development, power plant, or real estate development, preferably with direct involvement in delivering EV or AV fleet charging and depot projects.

• Strong civil and electrical construction expertise, developing projects from initial land preparation to finished paving, including stormwater systems, underground infrastructure, canopies/structures, and other AHJ requirements.

• Previous experience supporting high-profile EV or AV fleet clients, including their site design standards and data/connectivity specifications.

• Knowledge of high-power DC fast charging/EVSE design and utility make-ready or interconnection processes for substantial fleet loads.

• Proven track record of successfully negotiating transactions.

• Comprehensive understanding of the environmental and utility regulatory landscape, with the ability to navigate it effectively.

• Experience managing development and construction budgets and timelines.

• Experience in developing new processes to enhance workflow efficiency within the business.

• Strong attention to detail, work ethic, personal accountability, ownership of work products, and organizational capabilities.

• Excellent business development skills complemented by exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• A collaborative team player who is comfortable leading and working with small, diverse teams to successfully develop and execute projects.

• A Master’s degree in energy, real estate, engineering, or a business-related field is advantageous.
