Project Manager – EMR & eHealth Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee EMR implementation initiatives throughout fertility clinics in Finland, with potential expansions to Sweden and Estonia.

• Manage integrations between the EMR platform and national eHealth services and systems.

• Serve as the primary coordination point among clinics, WaWa, EMR vendors, third-party integration partners, and the central digital team.

• Create and uphold project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.

• Oversee technical tasks such as system integrations, data migration, testing, validation, and preparations for go-live.

• Organize and facilitate project meetings, workshops, status reviews, and steering discussions.

• Coordinate clinic readiness efforts prior to implementation and go-live.

• Ensure that vendor-led training sessions are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed.

• Foster relationships with clinic managers, doctors, operational teams, and local stakeholders.

• Identify project risks, challenges, and dependencies while driving them towards resolution.

• Manage escalations among vendors, clinics, and internal stakeholders.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, action logs, RAID logs, decisions, and status updates.

• Track implementation progress and ensure that projects adhere to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and quality standards.

• Provide regular updates on project status to senior management and key stakeholders.

• Assist in compliance coordination for healthcare regulations, GDPR, and national eHealth requirements.

• Travel to clinics throughout the Nordic region as necessary for key implementation phases and go-lives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, ideally in healthcare, MedTech, pharmaceuticals, healthcare IT, or another regulated field.

• Demonstrated experience in managing IT system implementations, digital transformation, or software rollout projects.

• Previous familiarity with EMR/EHR, healthcare information systems, clinical systems, or healthcare integrations is highly preferred.

• Experience coordinating projects that involve multiple vendors, integration partners, and business stakeholders.

• Understanding of system integration projects, including the coordination of APIs, interfaces, data migration, testing, and deployment activities.

• Strong skills in project planning, organization, risk management, and stakeholder management.

• Ability to impose structure on complex projects with various dependencies and organizations.

• Exceptional communication skills and confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders, vendors, clinicians, and operational teams.

• Native or fluent in Finnish with strong proficiency in English.

• Experience working with Finnish healthcare organizations or within the Finnish eHealth ecosystem is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of the Swedish or Estonian healthcare landscapes is beneficial.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote-first, international setting.

• Willing and able to travel to clinics across Finland, Sweden, and Estonia as needed.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe is advantageous but not mandatory.
