Project Manager – Defense & Offshore, Customer Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee various large-scale electrification projects throughout all stages, starting from order entry to installation and commissioning.

• Organize, coordinate, and carry out engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site activities in collaboration with GE Vernova and subcontracted partners.

• Fulfill contractual commitments regarding scope, cost, quality, and schedule.

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, proactively managing their expectations and relationships.

• Lead cross-functional project teams with a focus on leadership, responsibility, and collaborative engagement.

• Control daily project operations while being adaptable to evolving customer and business requirements.

• Track and report on project milestones, visibility, predictability, key business metrics, and revenue forecasts.

• Take ownership of project financial performance, which includes revenue, contribution margin, costs, cash collection, and adherence to regional business targets.

• Conduct regular project reviews, financial evaluations, and progress updates with both internal stakeholders and customers.

• Prepare and present project communications, such as kick-off meetings, status reports, customer reports, risk and opportunity assessments, and close-out documentation.

• Identify, escalate, and resolve any project risks and issues.

• Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on quality, on time, and within budget, while maintaining customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college.

• At least 5 years of practical experience as a Project Manager, directly overseeing the complete lifecycle delivery of complex Electrical and Automation systems projects.

• Experience encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation & Commissioning phases.

• Previous experience in electrification-centered industries such as Marine, Offshore Energy, Utilities, Power Systems, or Process Industries.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• U.S. Citizenship or eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for project tracking and financial management.

• PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.

• Background in customer-facing roles, especially in service delivery or project execution settings.

• Prior experience in Marine, Offshore, or Defense industry segments.

• Technical knowledge of power conversion systems, automation and controls, and electrical power systems.

• Strong skills in decision-making and prioritization.

• Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, where applicable.

• Legally permitted to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screen, if required.
