Project Manager – Contract Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Successfully onboard new customers.

• Establish innovative logistics concepts.

• Implement enhancements for current customers.

• Deliver efficient, safe, and sustainable solutions within the designated budget and timeline.

• Manage projects encompassing inbound logistics, storage, outbound logistics, customs clearance, transportation, and value-added services.

• Optimize the physical layout of the warehouse.

• Integrate transport and customs operations.

• Set up and integrate IT systems, including WMS, TMS, DMS, BI, and other relevant systems.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the customer.

• Keep the client, internal project team, suppliers, and management updated on progress and challenges.

• Ensure accurate and thorough project administration following project management methodologies.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Logistics Engineers.

• Foster and sustain relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across the global GEODIS network.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of working and thinking (HBO).

• Have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in a similar role.

• Demonstrated experience in managing projects in a methodical manner.

• In-depth knowledge of logistics processes including warehousing, customs, transportation, and value-added services.

• Exceptional communication skills in both Dutch and English.

• A proactive team player with commercial acumen who takes ownership of projects.
