This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance efficiencies across Surefire Cyber’s service offerings.
• Lead and manage intricate cybersecurity projects.
• Act as a consulting resource for Surefire Cyber when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with DFIR and Advisory teams to ensure smooth engagement execution and completion of after-action items.
• Prioritize and implement project roadmaps and initiatives alongside the Director of Customer Success and other Project Managers.
• Develop relationships and maintain communication with internal stakeholders and clients to align strategies with business and incident response goals.
• Engage in project meetings and efforts for continuous improvement.
• Oversee cyber incident response projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant delivery.
• Facilitate project plans that encompass incident response strategies, handling procedures, stakeholder communications, and resource management.
• Track engagement goals, deliverables, milestones, and resource distribution.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, HR, external clients, and vendors.
• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and devise mitigation strategies.
• Support post-incident reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
• Keep updated on cyber threats, attack methods, incident response technologies, and best practices.
• Define roles and responsibilities while promoting collaborative incident response teams.
• Ensure adherence to incident response frameworks, regulations, and industry standards.
• Create, manage, and distribute project artifacts including SOWs and budget updates.
• Lead stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Develop practices, templates, policies, and tools to enhance incident response capabilities.
• Provide after-hours on-call and weekend rotational support for critical incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience as a Project Manager, especially in cyber incident response management.
• Familiarity with incident response methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, such as NIST SP 800-61, ISO 27035, and the SANS incident response lifecycle.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Profound understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Experience with incident response tools, technologies, and systems, including SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to offer after-hours, on-call, and weekend rotational support when needed.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to identify risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Desire to learn, expand knowledge, and mentor colleagues.
