Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee 10–20 concurrent residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.

• Examine project scopes, plans, measurements, selections, specifications, budgets, and timelines prior to construction.

• Create, maintain, and adjust realistic project schedules.

• Manage the coordination of installers, trade partners, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and homeowners.

• Verify installer attendance, progress, materials, and forthcoming steps.

• Detect delays, missing materials, and cost overruns, then devise corrective action plans.

• Monitor project milestones such as pre-construction walks, installations, inspections, walkthroughs, punch lists, and completion dates.

• Safeguard project gross margins by overseeing labor, materials, change orders, rework, and scheduling.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive material lists and project-ordering trackers.

• Coordinate the ordering and delivery of cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware, lighting, and related products.

• Monitor order confirmations, lead times, deliveries, quantities, specifications, finishes, receipts, and inspections.

• Review job site photographs, videos, installer reports, and project updates to ensure quality control.

• Keep accurate records of project notes, schedules, photographs, documents, and communications.

• Track deficiencies, punch-list work, callbacks, and warranty issues until resolution.

• Provide homeowners with timely updates on project status and address inquiries and concerns.

• Facilitate walkthroughs and ensure that punch-list items are documented and resolved.

• Hold installers and trade partners accountable for their schedules, communication, documentation, and commitments.

• Participate in daily huddles, production meetings, operations meetings, and client calls.

• Prepare meeting notes, action items, deadlines, and follow-up communications.

• Monitor budgets, labor costs, material expenditures, and gross-margin performance.

• Prepare change-order information for management review and track approved change orders.

• Report to the Operations Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in U.S. residential construction or remodeling.

• Direct experience managing kitchen, bathroom, cabinetry, or residential renovation projects.

• Proven ability to coordinate more than five active projects at the same time.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. residential construction methods, terminology, and sequencing.

• Working knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and finish carpentry.

• Experience in reviewing plans, measurements, scopes of work, specifications, and product documentation.

• Familiarity with coordinating materials, installers, subcontractors, vendors, and project schedules.

• Strong understanding of quality control, job costing, change orders, and gross-margin management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Ability to communicate professionally with U.S. homeowners, installers, vendors, and team members.

• Proficient computer skills and capability to quickly learn new software.

• Reliable computer, high-speed internet, headset, webcam, and a distraction-free home office.

• Ability to remain available and responsive during scheduled working hours.

• Three professional supervisor references required.

• Must be available during the designated working hours in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.

• Preferred: experience in high-end residential remodeling.

• Preferred: prior remote work experience with a U.S. construction or remodeling firm.

• Preferred: familiarity with Buildertrend, ServiceMinder, 2020 Design, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Zoom, or similar systems.

• Preferred: experience in ordering cabinetry, refacing materials, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and remodeling products.

• Preferred: experience managing over 10 active remodeling projects simultaneously.

• Preferred: bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.

• Preferred: relevant education or certifications in construction, design, estimating, or project management.
