Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee 10–20 ongoing residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects at the same time.

• Assess project scopes, plans, measurements, selections, specifications, budgets, and timelines prior to construction.

• Ensure field measurements and site conditions are accurately recorded before material orders.

• Create, manage, and revise realistic project schedules.

• Coordinate with installers, trade partners, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and homeowners.

• Verify daily installer attendance, project progress, and outline next steps.

• Identify delays, shortages, and budget overruns, and formulate corrective action plans.

• Monitor project milestones, inspections, punch lists, completion dates, and outside commitments.

• Safeguard project gross margin by overseeing labor, materials, change orders, rework, and scheduling.

• Prepare and sustain comprehensive material lists and project-ordering trackers.

• Manage the ordering process for cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware, lighting, and related products.

• Track order acknowledgments, lead times, deliveries, quantities, specifications, finishes, and material statuses.

• Organize deliveries while addressing backorders, damaged products, missing materials, and substitutions.

• Review daily job site photos, videos, installer reports, and project updates.

• Ensure completed work aligns with approved scope, plans, selections, and company standards.

• Maintain precise project notes, schedules, photographs, documents, and communications.

• Monitor deficiencies, punch-list tasks, callbacks, and warranty issues until resolution.

• Provide homeowners with timely project updates and manage expectations regarding schedules, decisions, deliveries, and milestones.

• Address client inquiries and concerns while coordinating project walkthroughs.

• Cultivate relationships with installers, trade partners, vendors, and internal team members.

• Hold installers and trade partners accountable for schedules, communication, documentation, and commitments.

• Relay project risks, delays, client concerns, and resource needs to the Operations Manager.

• Engage in daily huddles, production meetings, operations meetings, and client calls.

• Compile meeting notes, action items, deadlines, and follow-up communications.

• Track project budgets, labor costs, material expenses, and gross-margin performance.

• Prepare change-order documentation for management review and monitor approved change orders.

• Report directly to the Operations Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in U.S. residential construction or remodeling.

• Direct experience overseeing kitchen, bathroom, cabinetry, or residential renovation projects.

• Proven ability to manage more than five active projects simultaneously.

• Strong understanding of U.S. residential construction methods, terminology, and sequencing.

• Knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and finish carpentry.

• Experience in reviewing plans, measurements, scopes of work, specifications, and product documentation.

• Proficient in coordinating materials, installers, subcontractors, vendors, and project schedules.

• Solid understanding of quality control, job costing, change orders, and gross-margin management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Capability to communicate professionally with U.S. homeowners, installers, vendors, and team members.

• Proficient computer skills and quick adaptability to new software.

• Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, headset, webcam, and a distraction-free home office.

• Ability to remain available and responsive during scheduled working hours.

• Three professional supervisory references.

• Must be available during designated working hours in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.

• Preferred experience with Buildertrend, ServiceMinder, 2020 Design, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Zoom, or similar systems.

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

• Relevant education or certifications in construction, design, estimating, or project management are preferred.
