Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Plan, budget, supervise, and document the implementation of Contract Logistics and existing business initiative projects.

• Oversee projects related to warehousing and distribution centers.

• Collaborate with clients and DSV leadership to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and adhere to budget constraints.

• Define project scope and synchronize input from clients and the business.

• Develop comprehensive project schedules that include milestones, critical-path tasks, dependencies, responsible parties, and due dates.

• Communicate project scope and timelines to project resources and stakeholders effectively.

• Hold team members, contractors, clients, and functional leaders accountable for their deliverables.

• Manage project budget, scope, timeline, and change control processes.

• Lead status meetings, facilitate in-depth working sessions, and monitor risks along with mitigation strategies.

• Escalate issues and risks to the Manager and Project Sponsor when necessary.

• Provide updates to the Steering Committee regarding executive-level status, budget, and risks.

• Coordinate and manage the transition from project execution to stable operational phases.

• Facilitate AQP sessions.

• Assist in drafting MS Project files for RFP responses.

• Promote planning, risk mitigation, team ownership, project oversight, quality verification, and proactive follow-ups.

⛳️ Requirements

• A four-year degree is required; Management, Engineering, or Operations is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in the Logistics/Warehousing industry is necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio is essential.

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is required.

• Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to engage with all levels of business and facilitate meetings or workshops effectively.

• Good mathematical skills are required.

• E-commerce experience, including the initiation of solutions ranging from small to large volume, is preferred.

• Capacity to work in varying warehouse temperatures is necessary.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed by the business demands.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing tasks.

• Capability to travel by plane and/or automobile is required.

• Preferred: Experience in a 3PL environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with warehouse automation applications, such as Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, and conveyor design.

• Preferred: PMP or other formal project management training.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
