
Project Manager – Appraiser, Corporate Recovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee all facets of valuation preparation.
• Engage directly with clients and lead project teams, including analysts and writers, to achieve established deadlines.
• Perform appraisals under the guidance and review of a Manager.
• Utilize internal models to evaluate diverse industries and projects.
• Execute appraisals independently while coordinating with the project reviewer.
• Organize efficient travel arrangements for inspections, encompassing air, land, and hotel accommodations.
• Conduct on-site or telephone interviews to grasp company operations, controls, management procedures, inventory composition, and elements influencing inventory values.
• Accurately document inspection notes.
• Recognize valuation challenges and communicate concerns to clients and the Business Development Officer prior to the final report issuance.
• Supervise Analysts and Senior Analysts during the research process and review their outputs.
• Assess financial performance and operational metrics, including inventory and sales analysis, expense structures, seasonality trends, inventory turnover, and gross margin analysis.
• Review and contribute to the narratives of appraisal reports.
• Participate in project reviews with senior management.
• Maintain communication with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Articulate or justify changes in value for new appraisals.
• Keep the Gordon Brothers’ Appraisal Application database updated with accurate and timely contact, company, and project information.
• Adhere to Gordon Brothers’ Core Values and support strategic plan objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Up to three years of experience as an analyst is preferred.
• Completion of two or more classes towards certification from a selected professional society is advantageous.
• Proven proficiency with computer applications in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word are mandatory.
• Familiarity with MS PowerPoint is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• A strong commitment to integrity and business acumen is required.
• Demonstrated analytical, presentation, and project management abilities are desired.
• Problem-solving skills to analyze information pertinent to a job are necessary.
• Ability to interpret historical financial statement data, including income statements and balance sheets, is preferred.
• Capability and eagerness to excel in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment managing multiple projects is crucial.
