Project Manager 2 – Substation & Transmission

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of various transmission, substation, and distribution projects.

• Collaborate with numerous internal and external departments throughout the capital project execution lifecycle.

• Manage project execution, contract administration, planning, and resource allocation.

• Take ownership of project performance, including safety, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and client satisfaction.

• Oversee all project phases from initiation, through planning and execution, to monitoring/controlling and closeout.

• Lead project teams, ensuring accountability while mentoring and coaching team members.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders.

• Drive efforts to complete projects safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget constraints.

• Support the reporting of key performance indicators related to schedule, budget, and dashboard items.

• Identify and mitigate construction risks.

• Monitor and manage project changes.

• Engage in communication and consultation with stakeholders and supervisors.

• Prepare clear and concise project information reports that meet client specifications.

• Analyze challenges and provide solutions to enhance project outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Project Management within Utility, Construction, Engineering, or other relevant fields.

• Demonstrated experience managing diverse teams.

• Background in capital project management.

• Experience in the energy, power, or utility sectors.

• Experience acting as a liaison between the firm and clients in a supportive or leadership capacity.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage various competing priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Willingness to travel domestically approximately 10-25% of the time.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; the employer does not provide sponsorship for work authorization.

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Engineering design experience is advantageous.

• PMP Certification is a beneficial asset.

• Experience or knowledge in construction/fieldwork is a plus.
