This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, execute, and oversee integrated production and service delivery systems.

• Direct cross-functional industrial engineering initiatives across various Jabil locations.

• Establish manufacturing systems, processes, tools, and procedures in collaboration with Operations, Business Units, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

• Promote continuous improvement throughout the product and manufacturing lifecycle.

• Guide teams in identifying, developing, testing, and executing manufacturing equipment, systems, tools, procedures, and processes.

• Ensure that manufacturing processes and systems comply with customer and regulatory standards.

• Serve as a liaison during program transfers and aid in developing transfer plans, timelines, data and technology requirements, process specifications, and knowledge transfer.

• Engage in program launches and offer technical support.

• Assist in the startup of new facilities and workcells.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to site Industrial Engineering teams.

• Oversee the standardization of Industrial Engineering systems, procedures, tools, and practices.

• Design and enhance material delivery, storage, line-feed, product flow, work-in-progress, buffer storage, ergonomic workstations, processes, workcells, and plant layouts.

• Create, maintain, and enhance assembly processes.

• Carry out time studies and work-measurement analysis to establish and refine labor standards and process efficiency.

• Lead yield-improvement initiatives in collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Quality.

• Support box-build quoting and product-related Industrial Engineering tasks.

• Provide assistance for SAP, MES, IEDB, and associated platforms.

• Act as a subject matter expert in Industrial Engineering fields, including work measurement, systems and metrics, ergonomics, capacity sizing, PFMEA/DFA, fixtures and tooling, simulation, quoting, and warehousing.

• Examine operational and financial data to pinpoint enhancements in productivity, capacity, quality, and costs.

• Spearhead change-management projects for process, system, facility, and manufacturing enhancements.

• Formulate and execute continuous-improvement and cost-reduction strategies.

• Advocate for best practices and lessons learned across Jabil locations and manufacturing operations.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.

• Prior experience in Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing setting is necessary.

• Experience in leading cross-functional projects that involve multiple functional organizations and/or manufacturing sites is essential.

• Proven track record in implementing continuous-improvement, productivity, yield-improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Experience in manufacturing process development, work measurement, capacity analysis, facility/workcell design, and process optimization.

• Extensive knowledge and practical application of Industrial Engineering tools and methodologies, including work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, capacity analysis, and process optimization.

• Strong comprehension of manufacturing systems, production processes, and principles of operational excellence.

• Excellent financial and analytical abilities, encompassing project costs, benefits, capacity, productivity, and return on investment.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar facility/layout design software.

• Familiarity with SAP, MES, IEDB, and related manufacturing/business systems.

• Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, devise solutions, and drive implementation.

• Capacity to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site, global manufacturing environment.

• Preferred: experience in SMT, Backend/DF, assembly, box build, or other electronics manufacturing processes.

• Preferred: experience in supporting program transfers, new facility startups, workcell launches, or manufacturing transitions.

• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, Lean Six Sigma certification, PMP certification, global/multi-site manufacturing experience, advanced SMT and Backend/DF knowledge, simulation and capacity modeling, facility planning, plant layout, workcell design, material-flow optimization, standardized Industrial Engineering methodologies, automated material handling, WIP management, PFMEA, DFA/DFM, ergonomics, and process-risk assessment.
