This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Take charge of the complete technical execution of large and intricate customer projects as the primary technical liaison.
• Direct engineering coordination across project work packages, ensuring that designs fulfill customer expectations regarding requirements, budgets, quality, and timelines.
• Supervise engineering activities for significant grid projects that focus on HVDC and FACTS solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews, facilitate decision-making, and synchronize cross-functional teams concerning plant configuration, civil works, control and protection hardware, and electrical design.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities, implement mitigation strategies, and support project execution from inception to completion.
• Manage technical interfaces with subcontractors and incorporate their deliverables into the overarching engineering plan.
• Ensure document control, configuration management, and EHS compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Spearhead ROE and lessons-learned initiatives to enhance future project delivery and engineering performance.
• Extensive engineering experience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) setting within power generation, transmission, or distribution.
• Strong experience in HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), including technical leadership in large-scale transmission or grid infrastructure initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering project teams and coordinate among internal functions, customers, and external partners.
• Robust technical knowledge in plant configuration, civil works, control and protection hardware, and electrical design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical subjects to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Sound judgment combined with structured problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in diverse cultural settings and willing to travel globally for short- to medium-term project requirements.
• A formal education leading to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in leading engineering delivery for international grid, transmission, or energy infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with customer-facing technical leadership in regulated, contract-driven project settings.
• Experience in applying lessons learned and continuous improvement practices.
